Sarah has worked with the Quest Scholars Program for seven
years, starting when she was an undergraduate at Stanford.
After graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a BS in Earth Systems,
she served as the Director of Quest's Stanford chapter. She
now serves as the Executive Director of the organization's
QuestLeadership program, and as a member of the Management
(Executive) Committee.
Born and raised on a small farm in Ashfield, Massachusetts,
Sarah is passionate about the environment and loves the outdoors.
As an undergraduate, she was active with the Haas Center for
Public Service, first as a tutor with Students for Environmental
Education (SEED), and then as a Haas Center Advising Fellow,
promoting community service involvement on campus and in professional
careers. She served as the Director of the Stanford Community
Carnival, a free annual carnival held for 500-1,000 children
from neighboring low-income communities, for three years.
In 1999, Sarah was the Head Orientation Coordinator for Stanford's
New Student Orientation.
In addition to working with youth and education, Sarah is
passionate about environmental science, and alternative technologies.
Her interests include marine biology, marine policy, biology,
and Spanish. She enjoys the ocean, running, cycling, and swimming.
