Jordan first began working with Quest while a sophomore at
Stanford in 2001 and has worked with Quest every summer since
then. He began working full-time with the organization after
graduating from Stanford in 2004 and currently works as a
Program Associate with QuestLeadership.
Born in Quezon City, Philippines, Jordan immigrated to the
United States when he was six years old. His family currently
resides in Phoenix, Arizona. Jordan especially and deeply
cares for the well-being of his family and uses his difficult
experience as an immigrant to help those who face similar
challenges.
Jordan graduated from Stanford on June 2004 with a major in
Human Biology. He concentrated his studies on Adolescent Development
and pursued a second major in Psychology. While at Stanford,
Jordan's desire to create a strong community inspired him
to work for Residential Education, as an Ethnic Theme Associate
and a Residential Assistant. His adventures in directing plays
at Stanford allowed him to combine his love for the arts with
his passion for Asian American/Pilipino American issues.
Jordan's experience as a participant and later a trip leader
for Stanford's Alternative Spring Break instilled in him the
value of service-learning and reinforced his respect for the
power of education.
Jordan's zest for life can be seen when he is dancing, singing
and laughing with those he cares about. He seeks a career
to help youth in any way he can be of service.
