Annie Minh Ma
Quest Staff Member 2002,2003
Quest Participant 2000

Hometown: San Gabriel, CA School: Stanford Major: Human Biology, English

A participant of the Quest Scholars Program at Stanford in 2000, Annie Ma entered Stanford University as an undergraduate in the fall of 2001. She worked part-time for Quest during her freshman year of college, and as a Quest counselor in the summer of 2002. Following her summer as a Quest counselor, she took a one-year sabbatical from her studies to assist in directing Quest's operations for the 2002-2003 academic year, and will return to her studies in the fall of 2003. A fine balance of the serious and the light-hearted, Annie strives to be calmly joyful at all times. Genuinely caring, she appreciates engaging in thoughtful conversations as well as rich, shoulder-shaking laughter. She works hard and strives to be positive while also maintaining a high standard of excellence; valuing honesty, integrity, and compassion. She posseses a deep love of language, and aspires to combine her passion for words and the environment in ways that will help others. Her experiences working for Quest sparked her interests in leadership and organizational development, and she returns to the university to pursue studies in writing, environmental science, and business development. When not working, Annie enjoys reading, writing, and long walks.
