Chris’s interests in hiking and photography have strengthened the appreciation of the natural world that he developed during childhood trips to the Appalachian Mountains and North Carolina coast. He seeks to transfer this enthusiasm to others through his work with Quest, local public schools and Brown University sustainability efforts. A course of study in public policy will prepare him to formally analyze and evaluate social programs—a key element of effecting change. Chris anticipates that he will find work in public service, the non-profit sector, philanthropy or the arts most fulfilling. He will be a junior at Brown University in the fall of 2005.
