Chioke Borgelt-Mose
Quest Staff Member 2002
Quest Participant 2001

Hometown: Seattle, WA School: Stanford
As a 2001 Quest participant at Stanford, Chioke is thrilled to have the opportunity to return this year as a staff member. She had fun seeing Quest from a new perspective while working as kitchen manager and counselor. Although she has many different academic interests, Chioke is currently interested in pursuing a major in International Relations or Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity. Part of a biracial family, she has always been curious about the role that race plays in the lives of multi-racial children nationwide. Chioke loves music, and has played the piano for 6 years and sang in choir for 9 years. She hopes to continue her musical pursuits next year while at Stanford. Originally beginning voice and piano because it was the interest of her late father, she is currently learning to play the guitar, also an interest of her Dad. Despite the hardships her family faced with living in a single parent home, Chioke believes that those setbacks only brought her family closer together. Her brother Gyasi, sister Miakoda and mom Shirley are the most important people in her life. Whatever it is she ends up doing in life, she hopes most of all to see her family happy. Chioke will enter her freshmen year at Stanford in the fall of 2002.
