Cammie is keenly interested in social justice issues and greatly admires those who work tirelessly in such fields. A rising sophomore at Stanford, Cammie has come to recognize the limitless opportunities for youths, and has thus been empowered to assume a greater role in society. She is dedicated to making a positive impact on humanity and wants to pursue a career that will effect a social change. Being an American citizen who lived in Singapore for most of her life has resulted in a divided loyalty to Western and Eastern values that has only made her more tolerant of and sensitive to differences in cultures and outlook. However, the one thing that she will never compromise on is her professional and diligent work ethic and the heartfelt obligation to tell the truth by the principles she holds dear. With this international background, Cammie has developed a fervent sense of inquiry and a love for traveling and experiencing different cultures, even as she remains fiercely patriotic to the US. While she has an unquenchable interest in Holocaust and genocidal literature and often thinks about such sobering concerns, she maintains a lively sense of humor that is embodied in her hearty laughter.
