Full of historical, political and personal anecdotes, Paul’s passion for understanding the interactions between people, cultures and countries is clear to even to the most innocent of passersby. Majoring in History and Political Science at Stanford, Paul’s interest in these social sciences grew from his experience living in Peru in the period when the guerrilla revolutionary group Sendero Luminoso (the Shining Path) ransacked the nation. He has great pride in his Peruvian heritage and can attribute much of his ability to absorb reality unflinchingly to his upbringing there as well as to the wisdom and caring of his mother. Apparent within moments of meeting him is his honest nature and the certainty that he displays the same candor in all of his interactions quickly follows. His bluntness and willingness to speak his mind combine with a compassionate heart as well as a deep sense of loyalty and family to create genuineness rarely seen.
